- Small company means not much bureaucracy. Get to know all your coworkers and management. - Free snacks and drinks in the office. - PTO is decent especially for new hires.

- Salary is way below market rate - common to hear about coworkers finding 2x (or more) pay bumps when they leave. - Inconsistent & hypocritical work-from-home rules. The CEO works from his cabin for weeks at a time, and a couple people are only in office three days a week. But the rest of the staff has to be in office every day, 8:30 to 5:30, unless they get approval, and to get approval you need a "valid excuse" like having a plumber coming or a sick kid. - AWFUL work-life balance. Being available to work evenings + weekends is always expected - you won't know you were supposed to be on-call on a Friday night until the CEO calls you demanding you work on something. If it's not a quick fix you're expected to pull an all-nighter. They don't pay NEARLY enough for 24/7 on-call. - High turnover, especially project managers. (They replied to another post saying average tenure is long - maybe technically true but very skewed by the small group of senior managers who have been there 20 years.) - Dull office setting - in the middle of an industrial park. Few amenities in the building besides a small cafeteria with an automated, understocked vending machine. (Almost never anyone in there.)

The engineering team is very insightful and easy to work with. They are an experienced team and have lots of wisdom to share. They also have a generous time off policy, however other benefits are very limited.

In my opinion this was the worst place I’ve worked. I found that the leadership team was difficult to work with, arrogant, and hypocritical. Different people were held to different expectations and the leadership team set rules that seemingly did not apply to them, especially the remote work and work from home policy. In my opinion the leadership team cared more about themselves then their teams and cared more about being right then moving the business forward. I would not recommend that anyone consider working here in any role. I was micromanaged and the goalposts of my work were constantly shifting. In my opinion the culture was very hostile and who the blame was pointed to was more important then solving problems and developing the team member. The environment is also very quite, dull, and boring. The company chases big fish and did not close many deals which caused the business to be very stagnant during my time.

We honor each person’s experiences at the company and wish we would have known how this individual felt during their employment. We made extensive efforts to accommodate this person during their employment including approving every work from home request (despite being an in-office company that is highly collaborative), going negative with PTO balance, and being flexible with their repeated lateness to meetings. As a young professional early in their career, we provided this individual extra attention to assist in their personnel development. G2Planet teammates are viewed and treated as our most valuable resources. We encourage and invest in all teammates’ personal development and growth. The corporate event marketing industry is an ever-changing, sometimes challenging, dynamic and exciting place to be. As a result, great latitude is given to the Implementation Project Manager who is overseeing the event. ​Strong leadership, attention to detail, ​initiating communication that is thorough, open and honest, and teamwork are necessary ingredients for success in the role. Without these qualities, an Implementation Project Manager will not be successful. We wish this individual well moving forward.
