Svantaggi
There are a lot of cons I’ve found out (especially from the last year and half with the merger that took place), so brace yourselves. This firm puts profit over people, and it shows. Because what do you mean we surpassed our sales goal over the past year (over a BILLION DOLLARS in sales, mind you) and all of us won’t be getting bonuses??? There were “discussions” for bonuses after hitting our sales goal, but at the end of the day all of us won’t be getting bonuses from it. I’ve worked at much smaller firms, where annual revenue didn’t even come close to what this firm makes…and I’ve always been given a bonus, no matter how big or small (guaranteed for everyone). But at this company bonuses are up to supervisor’s discretion and bonuses are rare…..Another thing is that promotions are a joke - you have to fight really hard to get promoted, the firm makes it nearly impossible to get promoted even though they say they care about career advancement within the firm. Performance reviews are from 1 to 5, and we were told “no one ever really gets a 5, there’s always something to improve on.” So why even make that an option??? Since the merger the new CEO has changed stuff at the firm, and not for the better. They just recently had a mass layoff despite hitting record profits just a few months ago, and before the first quarter of the year, mind you. When asked, the firm confirmed we are doing well financially, and understands we may be confused as to why this happened. There is a lot of distrust in the workplace between the bottom levels and the higher ups, and rightfully so. Other things - salary is lower compared to competitors, and health care is extremely expensive.
