Vantaggi

Coffe bar, very young company (median age 25-ish); high growth company whose hiring a lot and people can grow very fast in the company if you stick around

Svantaggi

High growth brings constant change which can be exhausting to many people, nature of the work (for individual contributor roles) starts feeling repetitive very, very soon; skills learned are mostly soft ones and may or may not be super transportable to roles other than HR and account management; senior leadership's style is quite top down with scarce input from the bottom (but this is getting better)

Thanks for your review. I know what you mean about constant change being exhausting, but as someone who has worked at many growing companies – I know change is not unique to GLG. While I haven’t been here a full year yet, I also agree that the feedback loop is getting better. That said, your top advice is key: listen to people more. There’s an appetite for feedback from every senior leader, including me. So, if you have feedback to share – whether it’s regarding attrition or transferable skills – I want to remind you (and anyone reading this) that my door is always open.

Amazing people - lots of reviews say that because it's true. You'll work with smart, genuine, hard working humans. Good benefits and perks. Interesting events and opportunities to learn. Overall, a good place to start your career!

Svantaggi

Very fast-paced environment which definitely isn't for everyone. Lots of necessary change.

Vantaggi

Good colleagues, arguably a good job post college (for like a year MAX)

Svantaggi

I cannot stress enough how terrible this company is. Spent 5 years there, and watched it go further downhill every year. You leave with only soft skills (if that), and 0 actual industry knowledge. Seriously, you leave only knowing a bunch of Hocus Pocus. I am really surprised this company hasn't been bought yet. Or merged. On my team alone, we lost 7 out of our 9 managers since January... either due to layoffs or them quitting. Pay is low. There are no bonuses and it's very difficult to get a raise. 90k in NYC is poverty. There are bright people that come in with Masters, and PhDs, and MBAs -- handing them 90k is insulting.
