I didn't plan on writing a review of my dismissal, but in response to a review that claimed, "it's not a layoff, it's a totally unrelated restructure," it's actually laughable, so here I am writing.
At this point, layoffs at Grin are so common that no one will take you back. Management will throw you out if they think it will make them look good.
Interpersonal connections will start to deteriorate as everyone defends their own corner.
Hostile behavior between departments is common, and the offending people aren't let go or reprimanded in any significant way. They are deemed too important, so they are allowed to do as they please. If you aren't on their team, you will face abuse, and it won't even be subtle or passive-aggressive.
As for my previous statement, the leadership is delusional. They put a spin on everything, and I'm not sure why. They try to preach radical candor but lie to their own employees and spin bad situations. They also continually change how the company operates, assuming new processes will save its reputation.
They even attempted to gaslight customers into thinking the removal of a highly desired feature was a GOOD THING FOR THEM.
Salaries are far below standard in most departments.
The preached culture and values are a complete joke. Some people are capable of blatantly disregarding them and remain unaffected because they are considered "too important."
There is no leadership diversity at all; it's essentially a white boys' club, all from the same demographic.
