Vantaggi
I like my coworkers and my manager
Svantaggi
-Mediocre pay raises (capped at 5% in 2024) after having promotions & raises delayed during the economic down turn. Very rare to get promotions, and leadership has explicitly stated that promotions will be rare. -Constant re-org in the past 2+ years. Several rounds of layoffs which has led to a lack of job security. Some layoffs were sudden, without the chance to say goodbye to longtime teammates. -New leaders are tasked with turning the company's sales attainment and profitability around, but they are often making decisions without fully understanding current processes and the "whys" behind current processes. They also are so sales/results oriented that people feel overlooked in the process. For example, with the new CRO, at least 3 teams that reported to the CRO were in "limbo" for a month, because the CRO did not know that these teams reported to her. -Culture has significantly declined. I have been at Gainsight for several years, and there was a time when I loved the company and would have written a glowing 5-star review. However, the culture has declined – Gainsight even redid their values statement in July 2024, which reframed all the values away from being human-first to being sales-first. -With the new leadership and declining culture, there has also been a significant decline in transparency and job autonomy. Decisions are made behind a closed door, and teammates that were usually consulted / informed are left out, which hinders their job performance and leads to miscommunication and redoing work. The lack of job autonomy is frustrating as well - teammates who have been here for years and earned respect in their capabilities are suddenly tossed aside due to "leadership making the important decisions". -Much of this change has been pushed by the parent company, Vista.
