I was afraid to get a Corporate job after graduating college. When I was accepted for the college training program at Gallagher Bassett, I was honestly nervous that sitting at a desk all day would drive me crazy. As a former business owner, I was even more afraid that answering to several people would be difficult. I have been with the company for 11 months, and must say I could not have been more wrong! Laughter, exercise, socialization, and education are all strongly encouraged in the office. I feel comfortable coming to my supervisor with any question or curiosity, and will be greeted with warmth and answers. I can say that coming to work like coming to my second home.

The worst part about this job is all of the free food! Every day, we are treated with goodies from protein bars to donuts to bagels. I definitely understand why exercise is encouraged here!!!!

Great work-life balance as a remote employee. Management is approachable and genuinely willing to help when it comes to workload — you never feel like you're on your own.

Mentorship is largely self-driven. if you don't seek it out yourself, it won't come to you. Systems and internal processes can be slow and tedious, which adds friction to an already fast-paced workload. Compensation does not reflect the complexity or volume of work expected. High performers who are ready for the next step would benefit from clearer, more proactive promotion paths. When that structure is missing, talented people disengage quietly long before they ever leave.
