The CEO is a micro-manager and has a very difficult time understanding alternative ways to do things besides his own. He is known to quickly blame others for his mistakes and to publicly humiliate his employees. The threat of being fired for any reason is constant and he will remind you of that, so do not count on any job security, regardless of your role. I've seen yelling or crying in the office on several occasions which I had never experienced in a work environment before. Turnover is shockingly high and there has never been a dedicated HR person. Four different people have held the CFO title in the span of a year for example. No 401k matching. Mediocre health care for which employees pay half. You start at 10 PTO days per year with no sick days, plus 2 days after each year but still never any sick days or flex time. Those 10 days will be prorated based on your start date for the first year. No work from home policy and no half days. The culture of those traveling is the expectation that you will fly on weekends or take red-eye flights in order to make it back into work. Many people work into nights and on weekends just to get their job done because of the culture and expectations. Believe me, it's not because they're inefficient. Nepotism is also apparent. There are almost no formal procedures for any work processes so you will be expected to develop your own tools and methods to be successful. The entire company runs on Excel while QuickBooks is basically just performative. No real control of part numbers, drawings, documents, or sensitive information. There will be no structured training. The end of the year review process is informal and based on the CEO, Andrew's opinion of you with no tangible metrics or work examples. Your end of year bonus is directly tied to this review and the performance of the company so many people have lost their bonus because of things outside of their control. The desks are small and the space is very cramped and overcrowded. You have to twist your body to slide between the chairs of people who are back to back because there is no easily accessible way to get to and from most desks. It's loud and hard to have phone conversations.

Free lunch on Fridays. Other than that, that’s all that’s good. Your department is going to be hit or miss. So to join the right team

Worst team I’ve ever worked with. Especially in this department. There’s no leadership or anyone to take ownership. Everything is blame and done manually so people can justify that they are working.
