Benefits are OK if you are single or your significant other, super expensive and not that great at ALL if you dare to have a family. HR policies and actions by HR department leave a lot to be desired, especially when it comes to asking for days off that you have already earned (you get grief if it's less than 48 hours in advance). Micromanaging at its finest - everything looks so nice and shiny when you interview, but it's a facade. The owner has no problem emailing you at hours when you're off the clock, even about things that are not urgent, versus waiting until the next day at a more appropriate time (no work/life balance at ALL) and will breathe down your neck and others in your department on projects -- extremely suffocating. During my time there, we had one layoff and it was a woman who was on maternity leave - pretty crappy way to treat an employee and while it may have not been illegal, it certainly was an extremely horrible thing to do. Certainly didn't help morale at all. Case in point, the time I was there, more than half of the staff ended up leaving. Lots and lots of turnover in the last several years.
