A startup with all the benefits but none of the BS - Recensione dipendente - Product Designer presso Geckoboard

One of the main reasons I joined Geckoboard was because of the people and culture. Everyone is so friendly and truly cares about each other and doing great work. It's a very open work environment where company metrics are shared and easily accessible, anyone can ask questions, and leadership genuinely appreciates when someone challenges the status quo or suggests a better way to do something. No egos, just hard working people who are eager to learn.

At this point, Geckoboard isn't incorporated in the USA - but hopefully one day it will be. :) (This doesn't negatively impact my work experience at all, though.)

These days it is so easy to be cynical about a company that it is a breath of fresh air to work someplace where it is hard if not impossible to be cynical about it. It is so easy to trust my bosses and my coworkers because I know they genuinely want to be there and want to do high quality work. No one is ever trying to place, assign, or avoid blame, instead everyone just works together to find solutions to whatever problems come up.

Working remote from the other side of the planet from the home office makes communication difficult, but we seem to be figuring it out
