It was incredible to see how many people were laid off who knew the environments/domains, and were not valued for experience and ability to share historical knowledge and processes. Deadlines and dollars trump quality product. On certain contracts, as a senior, you will get the axe as soon as you can teach others your job. High ego and low communication. Go find a company culture who values well-rounded employees who want to share and collaborate historical and new knowledge. There are A LOT of companies who will value your hipster, holistic vibes and tech-savvy skills! Good Luck!
