Reasonable pay and decent benefits, but far from competitive. The team members working on the floor are the heartbeat of this organization yet are treated as peasants.

Provide feedback to your team members, quit being scared of potentially hurting someone’s feelings. The lack of feedback is just as bad as making someone upset for being too direct. Develop your internal candidates and focus on abilities instead of who is related to who when promoting. I have literally witnessed a 20 year old with less than one year of company service, no experience elsewhere and no educational background be placed into a salaried role based solely on who their father was and what he did at the plant. This is unacceptable.
