Vantaggi
- Work with very smart, and pleasant/friendly people - Benefits like insurance and 401k are great -
Svantaggi
- Pay raises are laughable. - People work in silos, and problems happen constantly because somebody forgot to share critical info. - Upper-middle/senior management is blindly optimistic about their ability to turn things around. If you challenge the majority thought in the room, you’re told you have a bad attitude, and it will show up on your performance review. - Basically only recruits externally for interns, and try to keep you forever. This has led to a lack of creative/different thinking in the room, and ideas are getting stale. I also think it’s how they keep salaries low. - Heavy presence of Midwestern passive-aggressive I.e., “Minnesota Nice” - Everyone loves/is encouraged to change roles after 12-18 months. It’s led to a severe lack of continuity on businesses where the wheel gets reinvented, or we try something again that failed 2+ years ago. - My hypothesis is that they are gearing up to eliminate remote employment, and move most roles to Minneapolis.
