There have been several changes of direction which mean mature projects have been abandoned. None of the people high up have a background in software, so they consistently underestimate the importance of it. Not very good at managing their individual staff. Hard work isn't recognised. People who aren't needed any more are often left to do whatever they want until they finally leave of their own accord.
