The rethink system constantly has issues, management and HR expect you to respond immediately, but can take days or longer to respond and don’t have the same expectations of themselves as they do of you. People in upper management and HR are constantly out of office due to some sort of holiday that they are getting paid for to not have to work for meanwhile we don’t get the same sort of holiday pay or time off. If clients want us to work on Christmas Day We have to work on Christmas Day. I also think that when you hire someone on full-time and they have consistently been full-time long term , you need to keep them full-time so when their clients graduate, you should have more clients for them. The hours are never consistent because of this so if you have a client that graduates, you might only be getting to work anywhere from 10 to 20 hours a week and they have supposedly been waiting months for a new client for me specifically. It’s honestly very monotonous waiting. Meanwhile, the company doesn’t really even care that you exist until you make a mistake or something to those regards. Also, I would like to note that this company does not shadow it’s RBT’s. We are just thrown into in-home sessions with no real guidance. They don’t give you any tools and expect you to run high-quality sessions with only what the client has available to them already. They do not provide any other sort of materials for the client for you to use or utilize during session. The only training that’s provided as a 40 hour online training that is required for you to take before taking the RBT exam. There is no formal sort of hands-on training through the company. Also, they only provide benefits to their full-time employees yet will take those same benefits away if that full-time employee has not had full-time hours for three months or longer even when it’s the company’s fault because they have not provided that employee with new clients. Also, they promise retention bonus at higher than you have to do everything in your power to fight them to pay out on that. They also don’t tell you that there is a 120 day probationary period before you can even get benefits and get this bonus paid out to you. I think that the company needs a lot of of reform. I believe that they are quick to hire you so that they can get cases covered but after that case is covered, they do not care to check on the case or provide any other follow ups to ensure that the RBT is doing OK or succeeding. The BCBA’s are the only saving grace for this company.
