Lots. Senior leadership lacked stability and direction - multiple VPs joined and left during the 9 months I was there, and the CEO appeared disconnected from the day-to-day realities of staff. As a result, morale across the team was noticeably low, and many employees felt undervalued.
Compensation was also a concern. My salary as an intern was below the London Living Wage, and we had to do weekend shifts. I was led to believe that the internship would lead to a full-time role after six months; however, I was instead given a three-month extension with the suggestion that I might secure a permanent role during that time. Despite taking on responsibilities equal to full-time employees, my pay and job status remained unchanged.
I hope the company takes steps to improve the working environment and that the dedicated employees still there are recognised and supported in the way they deserve.
