Tech team is a healthy size and senior heavy meaning you have many people to collaborate with. There is a nice amount of tooling and support for engineers and you are encouraged to maintain and improve stuff. Managers want you to make meaningful goals not just make up some box ticking tasks for your reviews, which is good. Nice social events and company office days, the events and office team are a great bunch. Product and Tech seem to be quite well aligned and understand each other's requirements.

Svantaggi

There is a lack of junior engineers which you could mentor or buddy up with, I miss that. Everyone is nice but I think some people are quite comfortable or complacent, it happens; its a fact of life. Lots of cameras off on calls, we live in a free society but sometimes it feels like a brick wall of silence.

Great bens package due to being part of Virgin Media O2. Remote working a great bonus for those that prefer it.

A disorganised, chaotic popularity contest. Always chasing the next shiny thing which means launches are rushed and often half baked. Promotions given based on length of service and popularity rather than ability. Poor performance management means high performers suffer low performers and just end up taking on more work. Talk a good game when it comes to a lot of stuff but this is mostly performative, inclusion and environmental work comes to mind on this. Limited progression available. If I want to get to the level I am aiming for I will have to leave.
