Vantaggi

The bosses aren't in the office half the time, so you're able to breath.

Svantaggi

Where do I begin?? The turnover rate is ridiculous! It's a constant revolving door, the recruiters are treated like slaves by their account managers. There is zero honesty from the managers, they will tell you you're doing a great job, then either talk behind your back or let you go the following week. The firm is run by two partners and they treat the place like it's their own personal playground. The managers don't have proper ethics. They will lie to your face at any time, and will expect the world from you and not give anything in return. You're constantly monitored while on the phone since the account managers sit either directly behind you or right next to you. They will have no problem "correcting" you while you're still on the phone with a candidate/client. There is zero privacy. The "CEO" is never in the office and when he is, he just runs into his office and closes the door for the whole day. He is socially awkward and extremely stingy. There is zero teambuilding and nobody converses in fear of being reprehended. Do yourself a favour and pass on this company.

Vantaggi

Professional environment, convenient downtown Toronto location.

Svantaggi

Since ending my employment with Gilmore Partners, I have thought long and hard about leaving a review. I wanted it to be truthful yet not too harsh, as this is a small company that does not have all the tools and resources at their disposal like larger companies in the financial district. You can tell that Andrew is passionate about his work, genuinely interested in his employees and brings a bright and cheerful feeling to the office. However, it seems as though he keeps recruiters in place at the company to generate revenue, no matter how damaging they can be to employee morale and culture. To be honest, this place was downright toxic the overwhelming majority of the time. Recruiters often had no rhyme or reason for the criticism they projected on fellow colleagues. Sure, tensions run high in such a competitive environment but the way that male employees looked down on and spoke to their female counterparts was downright misogynistic. Representation also suffers; there have been no female executive recruiters employed with this company on a full time basis in over two years.
