Tons of internal politics that even a soap opera is tame in comparison. People would use work-from-home to miss a bunch of days and avoid using paid-time-off. They did not get in trouble for it because they were very manipulative and their manager bought into it. Be warned if you try it as they turn their catty side and throw you under the bus. My manager definitely played favorites. Demoralizing atmosphere covered up on the surface. Gossip ran rampant so being just as fake, if not faker, was necessary. Finally, undervalued and underpaid, no matter how hard I worked and what I did to try to help Blinds. No amount of free cake makes up for that.
