Vantaggi
Remote work & solid managers
Svantaggi
I will have been at GoGuardian for two years by the end of December, and during that time, several notable shifts have occurred. Many long-tenured employees have begun to leave, largely due to compensation decreases of 20–30% compared to previous years. Operational inefficiencies — including persistent issues with Salesforce and other core processes — have made daily work increasingly frustrating. Leadership has been heavily focused on driving cross-sell initiatives, but in the face of tightening school budgets, growth in that area has been underwhelming. Company morale has suffered significantly, largely due to aggressive growth targets set at the start of the year that many feel were unrealistic and driven by the need to meet board expectations. To their credit, the product team has been working diligently on new innovations intended to differentiate us in the market. However, given current economic conditions, it’s unclear when (or if) those investments will yield meaningful returns. The new executive leadership has been mostly transparent about the challenges but seems to be constrained in what they can realistically do. Sales performance has been a particular pain point, with a team of 18 representatives — about half of whom are currently tracking below 30% of their year-to-date targets. There’s a general sense of uncertainty across the organization, with many employees speculating about potential future layoffs and quietly exploring outside opportunities.
