Depending on where you are based in the department management can micromanage sometimes. Lots of young Australian workers who think highly of themselves.

Vantaggi

The actual company is fairly okay with enough work and many of the staff are very friendly

Svantaggi

There is no support for staff, considering I flew from the other side of the world to work for this company there is a shocking lack of support for mental or physical health. Because of the working laws in Japan I would work up around 2 weeks with out a day off doing incredibly physical work in minus 15 Celsius while sharing filthy staff accommodation with 90 people. And as if to rub salt in the wound, in my end of season review I was told I took too much sick time, well yeah I was sick I wonder why. I didn’t take any mental health days which I really needed to do because I became unbearable depressed due to the working conditions. There is not support or advice from the company on this. Separately on my first day of work my manager called me a terrible skiier in front of all my colleagues and I witnessed him embarrass two other of my colleagues in morning meetings. This is completely unnecessary his problems could have been addressed in private and more professionally. I watch one of my colleagues confront my manger about how he felt embarrassed by him. My manger denied any wrong doing and dismissed him as being sensitive.
