Pay starts at £11.00 per 50 minutes. The maximum is £16.00 for English tutors and £15.00 for maths tutors, and then it's capped. (GoStudent reduced the maximum pay rates for some subjects from £16.00 per 50 minutes to £15.00 for tutors earlier this year, with less than 24 hours' notice). The incremental increase in wages is dependent upon meeting certain bonus criteria. Tutors no longer get paid for trial lessons unless the student becomes a paying student and is locked into a (long) contract. This used to be a company I was proud to work for. They once had great ethics, and I recommended them to my teacher friends. I now only stay with them because I love the students I teach.
