Technology is amazing, I love putting wifi on airplanes and dealing with the internal aircraft connections as well as the ground/satellite connections. We use an agile process for development, where the entire company sprints for a quarter to achieve some business value - amazing how we all work together to get through dependencies and remove team impediments. The base pay and benefits are exceptional, the stock and bonus plan is great. I love the people I work with, everyone is very passionate about creating the best products and customer experience we can.

The downside of any product development organization is supporting legacy product, and that is true here. We have several products that need to be end-of-lifed that we haven't gotten around to yet. Our manufacturing process, while robust, is not without fault and has lead to some customer complaints. We need to improve upon those to restore our image in the field with customers.

Don't believe the good reviews. Satcom Direct and their leaders have destroyed Gogo. The culture in Colorado has slowly been dismantled and replaced by a strict, militaristic style of managing and processes. Just when you think it can't get any worse, it does. Teams that were once cohesive and effective have been torn apart with reorganizations, resignations, and layoffs. Everyone answers to multiple micromanagers who do not know how to lead. Every 15 minutes of your day is examined and criticized. No talking, unless it's work related. Don't stop typing. Don't suggest improvements or question the roadmap, because SD does everything perfectly, even when they don't. Just follow orders and put on a happy face.
