There were so so many cons, working 6 days a week, being promised things that never came to fruition. The pay raises were a joke, bonuses were based on factors you couldn't control. Upper management was out of touch and I am positive that the vice president that was brought in was brought in to close the California market. In one year we went from 55 stores to none. My store was closed after I had surgery, actually the day I got back from the surgery, they called and they had the audacity to tell me that it was due to the fact that the building we were in had leased the space to someone else and we had to be out by the end of the month. All the lies that were told was just the worst! What started out as a promising career when I started ended with such sadness. Those of us that worked so hard for GoldMax were treated with such disrespect that in the end that we all lost respect for them. Lies, lies and more lies!
