Vantaggi

Loved management and owners Family feel Flexibility

Svantaggi

Sold to corporate. That conned the owners into making things seem great. New owners are only in it for money

Vantaggi

A typical say is filled with meetings, customer support, helping colleagues and collaborating on projects. Management encourages further development of skills of your choosing and is always willing to listen. Allows for remote work, enabling me to take care of my daughter and save on child services such as day care. The hardest part of the job is trying to get customers on board with the technological roadmaps set for their companies, but this is addressed through clear communication by management. The most enjoyable part of the job is the people that I work with and the friendly, supportive management!

Svantaggi

Internal processes are still being developed

Vantaggi

There's a genuine care for clients, and I feel a genuine desire to do the right thing. Usually. The work itself is generally fine; not too hectic, no unreasonable timelines or demands. Work-life separation is decent. This is a good place for a junior technician/engineer to gain some good work experience; I would just not advise staying too long.

Svantaggi

Management/"ownership" gets in its own way as a routine. It's a mix of nepotism, stubborn out-dated attitudes, and self-righteousness. There's a lot that could be said, but I'll try to be brief: the principal story of GT is a repeating failure to put good people in positions to succeed. There are exceptions to this rule, but many/most issues with this company can be traced to someone in management that shouldn't be there, or someone in management who isn't allowed enough agency to make things right. Finally, there's literally zero transparency when it comes to communication to employees. There are regular "town hall"-type meetings, but there are many major things that have occurred at GT that were unmentioned to employees completely. They hide the bad news, hope the bad news doesn't get too bad, and if it does they'll just blindside their employees with a round of layoffs. This isn't conjecture, it's happened, and it's shameful.
