As the wife of a former employee, enough time has passed that I feel the need to share all that I witnessed in the time Good Start Packaging was a part of my families life. I hope this prevents someone else from making the HUGE mistake that we did. Poor leadership and management. 0 expectations of the job until an arbitrary request is made with 24 hours notice. And request is inconsistent, next month something entirely different will be asked for. Absolutely zero investment in sales team. Sales team reports directly to CEO making it impossible for the reps to get the guidance and coaching that is needed to meet sales goals and grow in their roles. CEO expects this to happen magically.. Extremely harsh communication from leader with everything in the book listed that an employee is doing wrong and 0 guidance, support or recommendations on ways for the employee to improve. constant ridicule for not meeting changing sales targets but inability to listen to feedback on what the team needs to find success. Absolutely no consideration for how to create efficiencies for the bottom line so they can actually focus on making money. CEO expects reps to figure out how to start setting meetings and making money without any guidance on how to change their current strategy to do so. Expected to just figure it out when the only thing communicated is that the work you’re doing is garbage and doesn't meet expectations. What’s the point in working for a company if you don’t get support and your leaders don’t listen to you. Target compensation structure makes it seem like there’s a lot of money to be made but fails to note all of the things present (lack of training and expectations, poor communication, bad relationship management, poor and expensive shipping processes) preventing anyone from reaching this number. Culture, management growth opportunities deserve a negative star rating.
