Management panicked in April when COVID hit and immediately laid off 60+ members of its prof. staff and several lawyers rather than exploring other cost-saving options like nearly all their competitors did. Laying off staff during a pandemic is just cruel. Goodwin will — rightly — suffer a reputational hit from that lapse of judgment.
