-A paycheck lol. -Some employees are great, but they don’t stay long. Kind of like shooting stars, they burn bright but fade fast (inserts eye roll).

-If you’re looking for a company that values hard work, diversity, and actual qualifications, this is NOT the place. Leadership is deeply flawed, with key positions handed to family and friends rather than qualified professionals. Many managers have NO real understanding of industry standards, leading to outdated practices and poor decision making. -The company culture is stuck in the past, operating on a “good old boys” system where if you don't meet that standard, your growth is limited. No matter how hard you work! -Opportunities for advancement often seemed to favor a select group, particularly those who met certain personal "preferences." If you didn’t fit that unspoken mold, your chances of being noticed, let alone considered for new roles or projects, are slim to none. -Visibility is controlled to keep the same people in power while others remain stagnant. -Not only do they hire through nepotism, there’s a noticeable preference for hiring women who fit a very specific "aesthetic," one that aligns with traditional, narrow beauty standards rather than actual skills or qualifications. You’re less likely to be favored or to thrive in this environment. It’s less about talent and more about who they want to see around the office. In Summary: -Nepotism is rampant with unqualified leadership making bad decisions. -Exclusionary culture that limits opportunities for minorities. -Lack of transparency and communication. -Hiring practices that prioritize looks over actual skills and qualifications. -No real chance for advancement unless you’re in their inner circle.

Great people to work with. Coworkers turned true friends. The role is very dynamic. You will never be bored.

I could say many things but I’ll summarize with these points: Job stability feels very low and very high at the same time. You perform well (which is very difficult in a Texas market without selling a bit of your soul at least) you can do whatever. I mean whatever. Yet, in a given year your role, your pay, your manager, your office location, and your daily expectations will probably change. Hope you can keep up! If you can’t, better tell all the family that are now Goosehead clients because you had to pass training somehow. You could be successful in this role. I’d say 9/10 people aren’t but you could be the 10%. For the rest of us, it’s a stepping stone job that pays the bills. You’ll survive your year contract so you don’t pay 10k back to this company. Somehow you will. At what cost? Stay tuned.
