Good work environment, but there maay be some management hiccup - Recensione dipendente - Barista presso Gravity Haus

After a year at GH, there's no other place I could imagine getting the type of exposure and experience that I've gotten while here. It started with a dynamic interview process where I reached out to our people and culture team and they connected me with multiple different heads of departments to have candid conversations / interviews to find out where my skills would fit best within the company. Since, my role has evolved in multiple ways giving me new opportunities to learn and contribute to the company. One of the most memorable and influential experiences I've had in the last year is a 2 day summit meeting in Vail where I was one of ~12 people in a board room with our CEO, CMO, COO, VP of Sales, Director of Hospitality, and more. I was part of crucial decision making and future planning. My opinion and thoughts were not only encouraged but valued. In what other company would I have this type of exposure? Furthermore, my current boss came from a team where she was managing 40 people and took the company to go public. At any other company, I would have little to no contact with her being "so high up." However, at Gravity Haus, she is who I work closest with. I connect with her almost every day and feel comfortable calling her personal cell and vice versa. Ultimately, what keeps me at GH is my direct co-workers who I consider some of my closest friends (3 of us went camping last weekend purely as friends and not as co-workers) and the culture to embrace the lifestyle we are building (the outdoor adventure lifestyle). There's been multiple days where we've had team ski days or group bikes -- nobody will bat an eye if you say "I'm going to drive to Breckenridge today and work from there so I can get some laps in the afternoon." It's pretty great.

As GH is still in the start-up/ scale-up phase of business, there are constant changes. Part of working at GH is being flexible, dynamic, and having the ability to pivot at a moments notice. If you are able to embrace change and adapt to the constant evolution, GH is the perfect place for you. There's always something new and exciting on the horizon. You never know what's coming next

Coworkers were fun and I made good friends out of them.

Management is horrible. Training is nonexistent. They set you up to fail, and then fire you when you indeed make mistakes. Also ZERO work life balance. They don’t care about you as a human. The GM was there for 1 week to “train” me (aka let the front desk folks train), then left for 3 weeks with absolutely zero support. Would hang up on me when I needed manager support, and corporate wasn’t any better. I brought this up to corporate and was then fired.
