Be prepared to wake up and dread going to work. Don't lower your value and have someone tell you they are going to charge $4.99 for your haircuts. In beauty school we charged more then that. Clients going there do not care about how well you cut they care about a cheap fast hair cut and they will tip that way. Regardless of your skill and how beautiful you may cut 99% of great clips clients will tip you $1-$2. Paid minimum wage and sucky tips. It is not worth how much you will be slaving away. Because it is always busy you will resent clients and question yourself on your career choice. You will be working your tail off for nothing and it gets old real quick.
