At times, it felt that who you knew carried more weight than performance, qualifications, or contributions. This created a perception of favoritism and made career growth feel less transparent. I also observed inconsistent accountability across leadership levels. Certain employees seemed to face significantly different standards than others, which could be frustrating for team members who were working hard to meet expectations. I would have appreciated a culture that emphasized consistent standards, objective performance metrics, and more transparent promotion decisions.

For being so large, they were actually a really good company to work for. Everyone (at least in Arizona) was positive and great to work with.

I feel like a lot of the cons come from policies and decisions made by the property ownership, not from Greystar. This will vary from community to community.
