Vantaggi
*Hot deals* and some of the coworkers were chill.
Svantaggi
Almost every manager at the store, including the owner of the store, were often contradictory in actions, words, and goals. On top of this, they would talk over and dismiss other coworkers concerns and justify their actions because the store location is relatively new. Just so you understand, the management barely trains the new hires, if at all. On my first day, I was thrown into being one of the main cashiers in less than an hour of my shift, despite being told by one of the managers I wasn't going to be put upon like that very early in the shift. Not only was I extremely overwhelmed by the new register UI and the heavy flow of customers, but I also had to train one of my coworkers on how to use the register THAT SAME DAY because the manager that threw them onto the register did train them for it at all. NOT AT ALL. The same coworker also later was being pressured into meeting high expectations for merchandising/stocking the shelves when the store layout has only been somewhat configured for like a week at best. As well, the manager that was pressuring this coworker was setting these expectations based on the performance of a pre-existing merchandising employee that has PRIOR EXPERIENCE AT A DIFFERENT GROCERY OUTLET. I also want to add that the situation gets so much uglier when you factor in the coworker being pressured and stressed by this environment has autism and has addressed it to the owner more than once and the owner had made no active effort or attempts to address the valid concerns. As well, did I mention the owner of the store is also HR? So yeah, that doesn't fix anything either. Further, upon trying to address these concerns on my behalf and my coworkers, they decided to fire us both because the stress the company is facing is "undue". I also want to add that one of the only benefits that the new store was *supposed* to have was employee discounts, but these said discounts were never given TO ANY EMPLOYEE. Minors and adults working there were outright told that the discounts aren't happening *yet*. So yeah, I hope the current employees get those discounts, raises, and insurance benefits somewhere down the line.
