Vantaggi
Groth is a good company for beginners in the field of architecture. They take good care of their interns, and seem to have a path in place to grow their workers from interns up to project technicians. They also partake in their community in various ways which I enjoyed.
Svantaggi
If you're not an intern, or didn't start as an intern here, I don't think it will be a good fit for you. The communication between workers and management were severely lacking, and I was quite disappointed by management in general. Responses from managers were inconsistent, often favoring certain workers, while others were left waiting for answers for extended periods. This led to frustration and incomplete work due to the lack of timely communication. The frequent switching between the different sections of architecture without adequate support resulted in repeated mistakes and inefficiencies. The workplace culture was unprofessional, and coworkers had a general lack of respect for boundaries. Groth also SIGNIFICANTLY underpays its employees and is combative when it's brought up. There is poor management of employee time and workload distribution, making it difficult to feel valued and supported in the workplace. HR was overworked, underpaid, and rude, resulting in a space in which we could not voice concerns.
