US based and focused and with an ongoing commitment to the owners of the company (life insurance policy owners) takes a long term view for just about everything. Deeply loyal and trusting employee culture.

Not first to market. New initiatives oftentimes are planned to payback within first year (i.e. no long term investment in developing these initiatives). Small percentage of officers relative to employee base - downside is that if you are in a reporting line where the manager is out for themselves, your best work with either not see the light of day or someone else will take FULL credit for it. Outside management take the culture for granted.
