Completely disorganized. No one stays for long because it’s kind of a toxic work environment. Rudeness, hostility, disorganization running amok with communication. I was always confused and never felt like I was doing anything right, nothing was ever clear. You aren’t allowed to freely communicate with client’s family and other coworkers. I had a supervisor ask me to be online for observation at a certain/day time in our group chat with family, and then informed supervisor that we do not have session at that day/time. I was then in trouble for “talking about the schedule” which is forbidden. Apparently what I was supposed to do was wait for HR to respond to my supervisor or text HR telling them to tell supervisor my schedule. This and instances like this always cause further confusion, complications, and delays between all departments and levels as well as with clients and their families. The training was pathetic and everyone is just thrown into their cases with hardly any background information given on the client or their programs (sometimes I got lucky if a supervisor/trainer/or BCBA was available to briefly go over the case with me beforehand). Some of the BCBAs were great, others were hardly involved in their cases and truly had no idea what was going on with each kid. It was a pain to get materials for cases. Also, they did pay for my RBT course but then once I let them know I completed it, they never followed up even after reminders. It was their responsibility to observe me and basically do a pre-test before I sit for the RBT exam. Didn’t matter because I quit a couple of months after. The saddest part is that the way this company is ran affects the children and their families. If you want to go into this field, just pick a different company, there are plenty to choose from. A different company would probably pay you more as well.
