Vantaggi
My personal manager - who, like me, came from another company - was great about time off and allowing me to work from home when necessary.
Svantaggi
Company management does not respect employees, despite the claims of Employee First. They are all talk and no follow-through, and focus far too much on empty attempts to build morale and not at all on building a solid employee-employer relationship. Management layers are confusing and unclear, and 360 reviews are useless, as you are often called upon to review people you've never met or interacted with. Employees are bombarded with useless memos touting how wonderful management is, or with silly, paternalistic emails reminding them to wear seat belts and so on, but real information about projects is not freely shared, and regular employees are generally excluded from any kind of real involvement in the process. Internal processes are chaotic and unprofessional - for example, you can't get help with software or hardware problems, but random equipment you didn't order shows up at your desk, and the HR department is pretty much useless when it comes to payroll or time off problems. The internal website looks like it was made for kids. Management is highly politicized and cares only about metrics, whether they actually apply to the work or not. Titles are everything - if you don't have the right level or title, some management won't even talk to you. Compensation is conservative and the benefits aren't terribly lavish, either.
