HCSS is a successful company due to several factors: 1. It is an employee owned (ESOP) company so everyone has a common goal we work towards 2. It cares about its employees lives 3. It hires for cultural fit When you work at HCSS, you really feel included in a community. You don't feel like you're spending the majority of your life at a "job." Your job starts to feel integral to your life. It doesn't feel like a burden to leave my house for work every morning because I actually like my job and I am friends with my coworkers. We have great perks. Every desk has a window view and the environment is very open and friendly. People don't hesitate to help each other out. In addition, HCSS has amenities like fitness classes, basket ball court, and disc golf course. HCSS is a really active group so you really get to know your coworkers outside of the professional realm.

Since HCSS started out as a small company, it can still sometimes give off the impression of acting like a small company. New processes seem to be instituted in a reactionary manner. However, there are reasons behind these processes. It's just not always communicated clearly or ahead of time.
