Vantaggi
I really like this job. I never thought I would work supporting disabled persons, but here I am today and I love seeing the look on my clients faces whenever they achieve a goal we've been working towards. Management is friendly, human, and professional. Any complaints that I have had have been dealt with swiftly and with importance. You feel as if you're just as important as the owner of this non-profit. The hours are typically very flexible, the pay is above average, especially for teenagers, and the work isn't monotonous: there's usually something different to do every day.
Svantaggi
The only problem I had was with a couple of coworkers who tried to get everyone they didn't like fired. I made a request to be moved to a different location and management was able to make the switch within a month. If you have a problem, just report it! Hit understands that they won't place every person in the correct group home or independent living situation, so just contact management and they'll help a ton. Human resources is definitely your friend here.
