If you work hard, you are generally rewarded for it. At HIX I was part of one of the best teams I've ever worked with. You really learn what it is to be part of a team. There are some great and influential individuals on managerial positions who makes all the difference and are supportive.

There are constantly junior employees leaving, rocking the boat and making longer serving staff to work harder, longer hours and constantly train new people. This is not a company for casual passers by as you are expected to work hard and learn/understand the history of the company.

The staff they employ are dynamic, interesting and driven with many interests. They provide trips and education about what they do. If you prove yourself, they will do their best to keep you engaged with your work.

It can be a bit of an old boys club- unless you are an attractive woman and know how to use it to your advantage. Some senior staff can be harass women a bit and get away with it.
