Svantaggi
During my time at HRchitect, I observed a workplace environment that felt highly focused on short-term metrics at the expense of long-term employee well-being.
The culture and management's approach to employees:
* From my experience, it seemed as though employees were viewed as disposable figures in a spreadsheet rather than as valued human resources.
* The performance evaluation process felt extremely rigid and unforgiving. It was my observation that even a long streak of strong performance could be completely negated by a single off-month, which could lead to termination. This created a high-pressure, anxious environment for many employees.
* The management's apparent lack of concern for employee mental health was a major contributing factor to the high-stress culture. Support for employee well-being was not a priority.
Compensation and incentives:
* Many employees, including myself, felt that the bonus structure was the primary reason people stayed with the company. It created an incentive to stay and push through the challenging aspects of the culture.
* However, in my observation, the bonus structure did not benefit everyone, and many individuals who worked hard ultimately did not receive the bonus. This led to a sense of disillusionment and frustration.
Turnover rate and company optics:
* The high employee turnover rate, even over the course of a single year, was hard to ignore and was a symptom of these systemic issues.
* To an observer, or anyone looking into the company, such a frequent cycling of employees is not a good reflection on management or the company culture. A stable workforce typically indicates a healthy work environment, and the constant departures suggest the opposite.
