Vantaggi

They seem solid enough. Depending where you are, they dont mind if you come in a little early or leave a little late. Reasonably flexible in terms of you needing a day off or if you want to be a member of a society and wish to have off a couple hours that week to attend your events or whatever have you.

Svantaggi

Pardon me, im going to rush this a little, just the grammar. The content is from the heart: really there is a narcissism in the workplace brought on by the lack of upper devisin roles available. This causes a lot of bullying and over compensatory passive aggressivness and rudeness also territorial behavior on the production floor which leads to horribly uncomfortable situations especially if you already have an engineering degree and are just taking the job to get some "experience". Youre seen instantly as a threat by many highly competitious technicians. If youre hoping to keep it chill this is not the place, you might aswell prepare for a rough ride because as much as the director likes to tell you hes going to maybe move you up it's very unlikely that he will unless you can prove that youre a circus acrobat, that is if you first cater to the whims of your production leads first. I saw only one man get moved up from the assembly line, he gained years of experience at other places and knows so many things, he truly deserved it, but sadly he was so old that his usefulness has dimmed. Recently he told me that the director has threatened him with his iob. Its sad. Im not sure if its just Hamilton Co. Or a regional issue, but guys, i really dont want to have to gain so much experience that i become 59 years old before im finally recognized. My advice, as an engineering graduate, please don't accept an assembly or a technician job in Nevada, get out of here! Its truly a dead end! Last thing, on the production floor, they dont really support you, especially not in R&D. If you have a lot of questions and suggestions they are open to them but after a while they just think youre annoying, and they dont tell you why, they leave you thinking youre doing such a good job until the "evaluation" slams you in the face. They really need to communicate straight and tell you what they do and dont want, and train you completely and not half way, the enginees really slack off on instructions so horribly, you'd think simply translating the instructions from swiss to english isnt such a big deal but its bad, they are milking it. So you might want to not show confusion cus its going to hurt the engineers feelings and trust me they will have something to say about you. But not to you, oh no, you wont know what you did wrong, (nothing) they will just tell you that your quality is bad and you cant pay attention and you dont notice things. Its ridiculous. So, as much as they invite it, dont ask questions, answer them.
