Firstly, thank you for the positive comments, which are always nice to hear. I would like to take this opportunity to respond. Rewarding people who work hard and perform well is important and we like to run different incentives from weekends away for individuals to overall company targets. This year the whole company (Dubai, UK and Europe) is aiming to go to Lisbon if we hit our 20% growth target for the year. Our base in Covent Garden is a great location and makes it accessible for candidates and staff… it’s also a great place to go out for company drinks in the evening. We have worked with some incredible businesses since I founded Hanson Search, helping them grow all over the world. We focus on providing clients with a great service, the best candidates and market intelligence – all built on making sure consultants know their markets and how to effectively headhunt. I am sorry you didn’t have a good on-boarding experience. We do have an on-boarding procedure and plan for different levels, so I don’t understand how you missed out on this. Without knowing who you are and when you worked in the business it’s hard to comment. All I can say is that we are always striving to improve and make everyone’s learning experience as rich and rewarding as possible. Some examples of this are: • Last year we worked with APSCo and sent our senior team on a twelve month leadership programme • Every week we run at least one internal training sessions covering skills in recruitment and business related topics • We have an online intranet platform that holds all our training materials, so people can tap into on-demand training as and when they need to • At your desk training is important. I’m happy to pick up the phone and headhunt anyone to show juniors the skills of the job or support people with their business plans, growing their markets and teams over the years These are just a few examples of our commitment to investing in people within the business. This investment in people is probably why we have good performers, a great client base and challenge traditional executive search methods. Company culture is something that we think a lot about and, as the business has evolved, it has naturally gone through different chapters. Out of office social groups always form and can have a positive impact on the business. I think we have a great cross section of people with different interests from sports, politics, socialising at the pub, or going home to see their family – they all add to a business’ insight and experience. I believe our vision was clear – we intend to be the leading head-hunters in communications and marketing globally whilst being true to our values. Now with offices in UK, Europe and Dubai, achieving 25% growth across the business last year, and avid promoters of diversity in the industry, I think we are well on our way to achieving that!

I spent a bit over three years at Hanson Search, my first job after university. It was a great experience. I got good training and support from senior members, including the CEO. I had the chance to work across different areas of the business, collaborating with Directors on senior projects, and eventually, I started running my own desk. I decided to switch industries, but I'm thankful to Hanson Search for investing in me. They helped me build confidence and improve my skills in research and communication, helping me to grow personally. We also had a lot of fun – great summer parties, away days and different creative events.

We were busy - it was a busy time in recruitment - but I got a lot out of that. I had a great time and miss the people I worked with. It’s a business of high achievers but professional and supportive. I worked there during the time of negative comments, and it wasn’t like that at all. Go and see for yourself and ask the staff. They are all a great bunch of people.
