I would exercise caution before accepting a sales position with 1-800-HANSONS based on my personal experience.
During the hiring and training process, I understood that commissions would be paid with 75% upfront and the remaining 25% at a later stage. However, I have not yet received all of the commission compensation I expected, and I have struggled to obtain clear information regarding the timing of those payments.
When I contacted corporate for clarification, I was told that I would need to wait for the process to run its course. I left those conversations feeling frustrated because I did not receive a clear timeline or explanation regarding my concerns.
I also found it challenging to achieve consistent sales results because many of the leads assigned to me appeared to involve prospective customers with significant financing obstacles. In my experience, this made closing sales more difficult and sometimes left me feeling that important factors affecting success were beyond my control.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this position to individuals who depend on predictable commission income or who expect detailed communication regarding compensation. I would encourage anyone considering employment to carefully review the commission structure, payment schedule, and employment terms in writing and to ask detailed questions before accepting an offer.
