Vantaggi
For starters, the pay was decent. For the industry, when I started originally. Still not a living wage. Once you finally move up, and favoritism is a thing, cause you may move up and be a lead with a company car after a couple months. Or you'll watch others that started after you get promoted first. Working in teams (also a con.. depending on your lead). Management is okay if you can handle the daily mood swings of the manager and terrible behavior of the owner. If you're quiet enough, the manager will talk to you about other employees behind their backs that you didn't ask for.
Svantaggi
The obvious ungrateful customers here and there. Like ones that literally watch you do something. Then call your manager and say you didn't. Not a living wage. Favoritism plays a part in houses too! Tipping houses go to special cleaners. Like my old lead, who "got no complaints". Well, I'm not sure how... when you watched your lead use bathroom sponges in the kitchen and the toilet brush in the showers of homes. Manager has terrible mood swings and will be sweet one minute and yelling at you for small mistakes the next. The owner SMOKES, inside. The business may be a house but it's still a business. The polish employees are racist towards Americans. My old lead was way worse with many races. Heard it first hand. The owner doesn't know how to talk to employees. He's disrespectful. Crude. Degrading. His wife shouldn't have let him take over the business. He hasn't cleaned a speck of dust ever and it shows.
