There are a few red flags but in truth it would be too long to list. The key points is the drastic disconnect from leadership to management. Usually a company has a target or 'ideal customer' they should go after. That's where marketing and updated CRM would focus on those accounts/contacts to really target. However, management takes a telemarketing approach that will leave the company dead in the water soon. Red Flags include never having a meeting with your manager. Never have I worked for a company that just does a team meeting on Friday mornings to review 'business and pipeline' without knowing anything of what is actually happening. Management seems to be out of office most Fridays or any day after 2pm. Also, the pressure to close on a monthly cycle seems to kill most opportunities for a product that is really expensive. Second, to take a tactical approach I believe leadership has the right idea and plan to make it happen,....But again; management missed the target. Usually focusing on 300+ accounts at a time is a great structured way to hit the market and get the name out there. However, management believes pounding the phones randomly in a territory will work. No cadence, email, linkedin etc. Just dial like you're selling a vacuum to somebody who doesn't need it. Lastly, the training program was built from a 'previous employer' who makes it like you're selling cars, cell phones, or even furniture. Not sure if this is a 'tech company' or a 'order fulfiller' but to take this approach has lead the company into a series of losses over wins constantly. Too long, didn't read. Leadership has the right idea but instead of jumping on the chance; they pushed 6 months too late and created a blackhole or losses.
