Vantaggi

Some coworkers are nice. The store manager is very good.

Svantaggi

As far as cashier jobs go, this is the worst place to work...EVER. The HF cashier functions as the information person, the returns department, the sales department, the complaints department, and wait for it....the secretary. It's the cashier's job to answer all incoming phone calls, and it's expected whether you have a line of 10 people or not. Just today, I worked with 2 supervisors who were sorting price tags right next to the phone, and WOULD NOT ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!!!!!! They were not helping any customers, and I had a line of people, but they would not answer the phone. I got to the point that I refused to answer it--so the phone just rings and rings. Sorry HF customers--that's what happens when you have a climate of apathy and/or laziness.

Vantaggi

Great benefits, fast paced environment, good teamwork. I liked the hours, you get an education about tools, whether from your coworkers or the customers. And speaking of the customers, they were on the better side for retail. Most are down to earth and easy to converse with.

Svantaggi

Supply chain issues, many parts would never be replenished, despite being featured, advertised, and on display. That would often lead to tensions with customers. Aggressive time constraints on tasks. Sidewalk sales, holidays, and also coincidentally inclement weather days, can be quite busy and therefore stressful. Especially if there's call outs, but if you have a good management team, you'll have good staff that will want to work for them.
