There are some great teachers.
Good teaching facilities.
Svantaggi
They work you to the bone, more than I have ever seen before. They have 1 person doing about 3 peoples job.
Management drop into lessons all the time. They say it’s to see good practice but it doesn’t feel that way at all. It feels like you are being checked up on. There was one day I was dropped in on in every single lesson I had. It’s distracting and can feel very off - putting constantly being watched.
You are not respected and really are just a number there.
I worked in a fantastic school previously and everyone warned me about Harris. I gave it a go and it was the worst decision I have made.
They make you role play in team meetings where one person plays a teacher and another a student…. It’s very odd.
The systems they use are backwards and are overly complicated. They do not even do what they are supposed to do.
Once a week, leadership go through your books. Meetings or something extra almost every day after school. Staff work to the bone and constantly get scrutinised. They claim that teachers and students get an extra week during october but you have to come in for 3 days, unpaid, in the summer holidays. Consultants constantly coming in and scrutinising lessons.
