If you are a person who is applying for a career as a Marketing or Event Manger this isn't what you think. This is some sort of marketing scam / door to door position. As soon as you walk in you can tell something doesn't seem right. There are about 20 other people waiting to be interviewed. Just seems off.

They hired me to train me up for the position of campaign director even though I have zero experience in marketing. They said that all going well I would be in that position within six to nine months and would be making 150k. They start you out making under $200/week with the rest being commission so I can't see why or how in just over half a year I would be worth 150 thousand to them. They sell you all this to have you working on the streets signing people up for charitable subscriptions. When I was starting they were hiring positions for pretty much a whole new office but not one position open for street rep so I guess they tell everyone they'll eventually have a much better job in order to fill out their ground crew. Their office space is shared with another business and is extremely rundown and depressing inside. They lied about the health and dental benefits advertised in the position I was hired for - they don't provide anything. After I started asking more questions about success rates of past employees attaining the positions they were promised and poking other holes in their operation they said that I don't sound like I'm 100% on board and they let me go.

Zero work-life balance. Basically structured like a pyramid scheme. Pay is not guaranteed for working 12 hour days, 6 days a week. It's mentally and physically exhausting for literally zero pay. They try to convince you that people who can't do this job are weak or 'failures' or don't have the proper mindset or work ethic, which is just not true. The promise of growth and big money in the future if you continue can only take you so far. This promise of growth basically just pressures you to sell and become a mindless follower in order to do that. Reminded me of a cult. Disguises sales as marketing. This is not a marketing job. Creates multiple job postings with different job titles for the same position. There are so many businesses under the same belt that do this. Beware when applying for jobs like this, they are all the same, just with a different company name. Very sketchy, not worth your time.
