We are proud to be one of the few training providers that truly operates a 'grow your own' approach to developing talent so there are always opportunities to progress. Even if there isn't a position available that matches your current career aspirations we are keen to work with employees who want to develop. There are only 5 family members in upper management so the other 90+ employees are not family and have access to career development opportunities. We have created over 15 new positions in the last year and love seeing our people progress and get the opportunity to grow. We have increased our HR and employee engagement team (who are not related) and are open to the views (good or bad) of our employees. Work based learning is a challenging sector - working with employed individuals to help them develop and achieve nationally recognised qualifications. One of our biggest challenges is always finding good talent with the right experience and in the right location which means that our tutor caseloads can be higher than we would like at times but we are working with our people and partners to improve our appointment rate. Targets are an essential part of performing and remaining in business. WE DO reward good performance - which is not all about hitting targets. We do this through bonuses, progression opportunities, employee awards which are voted for by our people. We use survey monkey regularly to consult with our people which provides anonymity to encourage honesty. This has enabled us to get the opinions of things as we are constantly changing and growing. We will be conducting an employee engagement survey later this year and look forward to getting the views of our people and listening to them!
