Poor office culture and and work environment. Many of the employees who are non-management are constantly worried about being let go, as there is a culture of fear and reprimand. You cannot feel safe in your position as you are an expendable piece that can be let go for little to no reason at any time. The Vice President is an aggressive individual who is large in part responsible for creating the culture of fear. He is not approachable at all, and often sends out negative and almost threatening emails to the entire office to try and increase performance. Certain managers discourage working with some candidates as they are "too old." This is not a rare practice in the organization either. Any candidate above 60 may have a hard time being considered for a role. It often feels as though the organization does not really care about their candidates, but rather they just want to make money out of them. If they believe they can't make money out of them, they often completely discard the candidate. Once you leave or are let go from the organization, they don't really want anything to do with you. It is very difficult at this point to have any questions or concerns answered. Upper management will let employees go with seemingly little consideration for them. Employees have been laid off right before Christmas, before their own weddings, and before vacations. Many employees are unhappy here, and turnover is very high.
