Working at HealthMatch has been an incredible experience. I’ve never worked in a more collaborative, stimulating or purpose driven organisation before. I joined HealthMatch’s ops team in late 2018 with a team of less than five from a funds management and M&A background. Immediately I was provided with great autonomy and responsibility whilst also being supported by the small team to jump into hugely interesting problems. As the team has grown the work remains very diverse, interesting and a huge factor of my enjoyment has been a phenomenal team to work with. I really appreciate that HealthMatch works very hard to recruit great people who are not only talented but also genuinely friendly and collaborative workers. The work environment is like no other I have ever experienced. I see huge opportunities for the company to make an amplified positive contribution to people’s lives moving forward. Pros: - Brilliant culture. People are celebrated as HealthMatch’s biggest asset and the mission has attracted a group of smart, collaborative and all round great people. - Autonomy, Ownership and Prof Development. You are truly empowered to make a difference, the company has a super horizontal structure and decision making is merit based. Everyone has a voice and everyone is provided with opportunities and ownership over interesting projects. - Great perks. Pay is good, people are incentivised for HM to succeed and we have a great office environment.

Cons: - It’s not really a con, but HealthMatch is a super high-growth startup. There is a ton of work and things happen quickly so you need to be ready for the challenge. That being said, I find this exhilarating and it’s never work for work's sake. I haven’t seen anyone in the team not enjoy the rush and at the end of the day the work we do contributes directly to helping patients.
